Muay Thai Program
Like most competitive full contact fighting sports, Muay Thai has a heavy focus on body conditioning. Muay thai is specifically designed to promote the level of fitness and toughness required for ring competition. Although only a few practitioners will venture into ring competition, all members train and learn the same techniques.
Training includes shadow boxing, bag work, pad work, skill development drills, technical sparring and conditioning using core strengthening, body weight exercises and plyometrics. Our grading is comprised of a prajiad, or arm band grading system similar to the traditional karate belt ranking.
Muay Thai, which is the national sport of Thailand, is referred to as the "Art of Eight Limbs" or the "Science of Eight Limbs" because participants can use punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight "points of contact".
